My crafty sister was nice enough to let me borrow some pearlex, it's neat stuff.  Strong too.  Small amounts it acts like hilites, but add more and it acts more like a pearl powder than what the hilites do at the same rate.  Not sure what I'd call this, colors are inspired by rainbow shiners and dace, but I'd need a twinjector and lami plate to make either of those accurately.

All plastic is Do-it regular
Hilites and flake are sparse and to taste.

Top:
4oz plastic
1 drop black x2
1/16 tsp spring green pearlex
Small amount bronze hilite
Small amounts Canadian blue, moss green, and red .04 glitters

Middle:
2oz plastic
1/8 tsp super russet pearlex
1/16 tsp uv blast
Small amount rose hilite
Tiny amount of red .04 glitter

Belly:
2oz plastic
Small chunk white scrap
1/16 tsp Aztec gold pearlex
Tiny amount of bronze hilite
Small amount .015 black glitter

Those are some cool colors. That pearlx is something else to work with.
