Dob Bro, I may just not know something, and may be missing what's obvious to some, but what was Orange that You needed to not be so Gummy?  It looks like more Yellow for the Main Color, with that Fishy Green-Blue or Blue-Green for the Back...I dig the color, though.

I think he means that it looks like his swimbaits are either

a) chewing gum
b) got lipstick on

and wants the orange to be more 'spread out' in the throat area.

But - Like you - I like the main color pattern.

Dobyn's needs to share his recipes with these pics -

Getting those throat patches put in a mold can be a real challenge and the sticky he refers to is how the orange plastic just doesn't seem to flow or broadcast itself very well when its put in the cavity. The problem isn't the orange or stickiness, it the fact that so little plastic is involved it loses heat super fast and either wants to just stay where it is put in the mold or it wants to stay on the end of the tool used to apply the orange. Its just really hard to get any consistency when dotting orange like tis.

Thanks everyone! The orange is painted on by hand. When I said a "loose" orange I was talkin about the paint bein a little more liquid like. I have it in black & the black is far more easy to work with

Would it work if he had put a drop of X2 orange on top of a dab of plastic...kinda like you guys were doing at the Do-it Get together??
