We are having a "Hog" contest on Facebook. Post a picture of your best Lunker and the winner will win a gallon of Caney Creek Crystal Clear plastic. The winner will be subjective - it could be a Smallie, a LMB, Walleye, a 3lb Crappie, etc!
There are no other rules.

Bump for a hog...
This is open to all fish species. It doesn't matter what it was caught on, or when it was caught.
If I can find it I have a really cool picture of my Grandpa with about a 4 pounder from back in the day. It is probably my favorite fish picture. Do you have one?

I posted a few pictures up there Jason, I hope you like them! That Grouper is about the biggest fish I have ever caught. I had to throw that dink in there lol.
-
The grouper is HUGE!!! Did it really only weigh 50lbs. How long did it take you to get it in? Did you guys eat it? Not only does that qualify as a Hog, it looks like it could eat one!

I just assumed it was around Fifty pounds, I just didnt want to give to high of a number and people be like it didnt weight that much. It took me and my buddy both to pull her up to the platform which is about 100ft above the water. I got her little brother in the background. I'll see if I can dig up a pic of both of them. They are pretty good to eat.
It was a nice fight but that amberjack I caught put up a huge fight. After I caught him I hung another one and he broke my reel off of my fishing pole and stripped out all of my line and got off!

I will confess my Facebook Ignorance.
Just how do you post a picture on facebook?
Old dog; not so good on new tricks.
-
I am just learning FB as well and may need to ask my wife. Breaking all the man rules...
I believe the easiest way would be to post it in our gallery and then "like it" (you have to have a FB account to like something).
I'm sure there is a better way, hopefully someone else can chime in as well.

Tomorrow, the 31st, is the last day to enter a Hog. You guys that have entered a fish have already made it super tough.
Good luck!

I still haven't figured out how to post a picture on facebook. Here is what I think is my best hog given how the fish was caught. This cat was caught while vertical jigging for Crappie. Caught on a 10 foot Sam Heaton Crappie rod, 8 lb. test line, custom 1/4 oz. jigging spoon with a #6 Gold Treble hook. It took forty five + minutes. Weight unknown; but it was a good blue. The rod is on the lower right and some of the spoons we were using are on the console beside the Pepsi can. Released to fight another day.
[ As soon as Jason or someone tells me how, There will be a picture of a catfish and an old fat man here. Its in the gallery under Why we do it; but I ain't swift enough to get it to here. ]
