Been a long time since I put together any of my blade baits and low on good heavy duty split rings - haven't bought any in years.   Any reccomendations on good ones and where to buy??

Fatman, go to Barlows Tackle and buy the standard split ring, those are the only ones I know off that have them in made in nickel plated spring steel. You can use the stainless but I found that the stainless will stay open if you bend them out too far, the ones from Barlows close all the time.

On my blades I cut the hook at the base with dremel and than solder and have not had any trouble with hooks on fish. I do it that way because it keeps the hooks from getting together. I use KVD triple grip style hooks.
