Poured up a few dozen 2.5" small fry crappie baits in my favorite colors and headed out. The first time with this bait and I was extremely impressed. Caught several nice crappie by pitching, casting and vertical jigging. This is a long crappie bait but has a small profile. If you're a crappie fisherman but hesitant about a 2.5" bait this one is for you, it doesn't fish like a bigger bait.
The mold shoots 12 great baits every time. Shooting laminates is a breeze and it makes a professional looking bait. I've fished several shad body baits over the years and their performance cannot match this one!
Hook this thing on a 1/16th oz jig head with a #2 hook and hold on!

And just what are your favorite colors ? ;D Just Kidding.
Thats one thing about crappie fishing; there are so many colors that produce well today, and not tomorrow, and vice versa.
I will second that the Small Fry shoots extremely well. I am early in my learning curve, particularly on laminates. If I can shoot great baits with it, it has to be a eazy mold to shoot. The tail action is exceptional if you like an active tail. The triangle tail presents a good sized profile from the side as well as bottom / top. Have yet to lake test, but tank testing looks great. I will be shocked if this bait does not produce well.
Still way too hot here for me to Crappie fish.
Just glad I'm not in Texas. ( Weather wise that is )
