Title: color matching

A while ago I got some Ruby Slipper powder paint and right off I had some people wanting jigs done in it. The feedback has been positive for themost part and just this morning I got a request for a crappie plastic in the same basic color. This is what I came up with.

Strawberry was the base color for this plastic while I used X2 Red to help get it toned down a bit. I think to get it even closer I'd have to use a bit of black but he's happy as they stand. The X2 Red is a super strong color so I used a toothpick dipped about a 1/16 inch into the color and then stirred in to adjust this. The Red X2 stand-alone was pretty far off what I needed, so the strawberry got the nod to start things off.

There is a healthy shot of .015 Fire Red glitter in there too.
