Title: Spoons and Spinner
Post by: andrewlamberson on 07/06/14 17:02 UTC
The Mississippi is still to high to fish...but the forecast is looking promising by next weekend. I'm really looking forward to fishing the lures I made below. The spoons are the Casting Spoon and the In-line spinner is made from the Do-it Lure Body.

They look nice! Just don't snag them on that Mississippi bottom! ;D

With the river coming down they should be going wild pretty soon Andrew.

I can't wait until the river get's back to "normal" either... I was ripping some smallies on Pool 6 two days ago and most of these were on sand bottoms, so you shouldn't have a problem with snagging those trebles... just remember this coming weekend is the Catfish Days tourney, so you may want to hit 5a for less traffic (presuming you aren't fishing in it.)

Your baits look good - if you're fishing for whites and smallies the only thing I'd suggest is a few more tight turns of wire on your bottom eye to make it really secure.
