Hit the flea market today and picked up 2 whopper stopper hellbenders and one tiny torpedo - plus 2, 8 oz. bank sinkers for $5. Sinkers aren't in pic as they already went in the lead bucket.

Nice find. That's almost as good as catching a big one!

I'll bet the sheep feel slighted. lol
Nice find. I pick up all the lead I can get. right now for downrigger balls. I have a source for pure lead and that goes to jigs...period. No allows in my jigheads.

I have two water tight containers in the garage - one has pure lead the other tire weight lead. I have about 15 lbs. in a sealed coffee can that is a 2/l mix of 2 parts tire weight and one part pure and it pours well in all my molds, but all the other lead stays separated.
I even have requests in with plumbers in the area if they come across old lead water pipes that I will take them so they don't have to pay to get rid of them.
And I have enough wool to make lots of jigs right now and have all the colors the ladies have right now!!LOL

And in the meantime you have a mess of sheep running around with bald spots on their butts getting sunburned.

Ah! The start of two hell-pet rigs. Many a fish have been caught on those over the years. A true poor man's downrigger.
