Title: X2 Colorants, In-Store
Post by: BareKnuckleJigs on 10/13/14 22:12 UTC
1, is there no straight Green Pumpkin X2, not GP-Green or GP-Brown?

2, is the Junebug X2 the best for Junebug (overall vote) or is the Purple X2 better for Junebug?  How is the Junebug colorant different from Purple?  (this may have been asked already, and if so, I apologize...I'm on my cel so I can't really search or click on posted links)

The GP green is regular GP.

Purple is more of a violet. Junebug is more like Black grape which is what you want.

Surprised there is no x2 Black Grape. A very popular color.

As I understand it, the company that formulates the color is having a heck of a time obtaining the pigments for the Florida grape. Florida grape is a very dense, heavy purple color that is Do-Its answer for Black Grape.

When Do-It is out of stock on a color, it will not be listed in the color options. As soon as they have it in stock once more it is added back into the selection list.

The X2 purple is very comparable to "Power Worm" purple (Berkley) - it's not as deep and robust as I would desire, so I add a little blue to mine.

As 'Carlo said the JB is more of a black grape, and it seems to take a bit more of this to get the same color density as compared to others - very nice hue though.

Thank Yawl Bros.  Been pondering "doubling-up" on the few Colorants I actually "need".  Black (done), Green Pumpkin, Purple.  I like Junebug to be a rich Purple-Purple, not leaning on the Red or Blue side, and I like it kind of Dark but still translucent because I like the lighter, obviously-Purple thin spots on baits.

GP brown is what people like here in VA. They say the the GP green looks like a dark watermelon.   Crazy but I listen to the people.  Also if you play with the June bug X2 color you can have an opaque color or a translucent one. Use big green flake.  I prefer emerald green flake. It looks really nice in the June bug color.

Thank Yawl, again!

Carlo Super Sport, Many Thanks for the offer!  I may just grab some JB when I get ready, or wait for the Black Grape...

Speaking of the X2 purple... I don't see it in the store... Am I just being an old technically challenged coot, or is it not there?

It doesn't show up in the online store if it's out of stock.  When it's back in Stock it shows up again.

A bit off the topic (hope the DoIt guys are looking) but I wish there was some way that DoIt could show all the colors (yes I know they are in the catalog) and have a wish list so when they become "in" stock that they could/would notify us so we could then order it instead of having to check every few days hoping that they don't sell out in the mean while.

I agree. It would be nice to have them all listed and if it's out at least just say out of stock.

Agree with that.
I have been looking for Orange for over a year.
Not real pleased I had to go to another company just as I am getting comfortable with the X2 product.
