Mo was talking about using this to top coat his plugs. So; I got out the 2014 Do-it catalog and looked it up. On page 73 it's listed as item 2718 and 2719 turn the page to 74 and it's listed again as item 2964 and 2965!! The item title and write up is the same for both. Are these two different products(?) and which one is used for topcoating plugs? ,I assume that since they come only in small bottles they must be brushed on?

2718 (1 oz.) and 2719 (4 oz.) are plain Clear Coat.
2764 (1 oz.) and 2765 (4 oz.) have UV Blast added to the Clear Coat and will reflect ultra violet light.
They can be brushed or dipped and are pretty much air brush ready out of the bottle. They are both water based so any thinning can be accomplished with H2O.

So there water based, but can be used as a top coat? OK I'll give it a try, but I'm suspicious of how hard it really is.

It's not as hard as d2. But so much thinner.
