The DD Gill is probably one of my more pickier mold. It likes the plastic cooler and pressure held for longer than usual otherwise it will either dent or get an air bubble around the eye. That being said, the first time I used it, I caught a really nice largemouth for the pond I was fishing. It'll take some practice shooting the mold, but you'll likely get the hang of it pretty quick.

Mine shoots good but will sometimes get that same air bubble. Other than that it makes good baits. I can't speak for it's fish catching because I've never even used it... I have had these molds for quite some time now. The first releases. The air bubbles result primarily from shooting the molds to fast. The eye area is big and you get some bubble formation with the plastic going by the protruding eye area so quickly. Plus that space between the eyes is pretty small. Slow your injection speed way down and you will get perfect baits every single time.

It is a GREAT baits to flip, put on a chatter style bait, as a jig trailer. It will catch'em.

Bee-U-Tiffle  ;)

There's many times that I find things work out just a little better if I'll only SLOW DOWN!  Some molds are like that. And a fine flippin' / skippin' bait it is fo' sho', nice work Jim  8)

That's how I fish it, and sometimes I'll add a small split shot a foot or so up the line to get it to drop down faster and dart a bit more.

When I flip it I do. If I run it on a chatter style bait, I run it to look just like a small bream.
