Finally got my brush hog mold back to where it would shoot well.
2 oz plastic
3 drops Amber
3 drops Red
Copper glitter to taste, I believe I used about 1/16 of a tsp.

Nice bait. I noticed some flashing. Adjust where you put your clamps might help get rid of that.

Thanks Lamar. Yeah there's a bit of flashing on most but not all of the shots in this mold where the tails shoot all the way. And it's definitely because of clamp placement, only way I can get it to shoot all the way is only use one clamp on the front. Maybe I need to open some vents.

Rub a little worm oil on the end of the mold (tail area) and that will help the flow until the mold gets hot.

Use something like other molds or pieces of lumber, on both sides of the mold You're shooting.  Sandwich the mold in the middle...clamp snug...the pieces (molds or whatever) will help distribute clamping pressure and can reduce flashing.

Make sure.the MD is clean of.all other plastic buggers and try shooting at a lower temp.  I know sometimes guys think that, the hotter the plastic the easier the tails will shoot.  If the is a 4.5 inch or smaller, one clamp will do the trick
