Title: Eyes
Post by: ctom on 03/27/15 20:59 UTC
I have eyes from several different manufacturers and I honestly think the best I have used comes right here from Do-It. I have three different sizes in a few different colors. My most recent acquisition was some 4mm red and silver 3-d eyes and today I had a chance to try the smaller ones. I like. Perhaps its not so much the eyes themselves as it is the adhesive. When I put an eye down, it stays and does not in any way slip or lift off. Some of the other eyes I have work well on some cards while other cards of the same eyes will be lacking in the tacky department. The eyes I have from Do-It, regardless of size, are just flat out sticky and stay put.

Anyone else tried the Do-It eyes and found favor with them?

My favorite eyes come from WTP.
They make the best quality eyes I have used.
I don't know but maybe that's who makes the eyes for Do-It.
I buy my WTP eyes from Barlows and they are cheaper than buying from Do-It.

I'll admit the adhesive on the eyes I use are terrible.  But I always apply a topcoat or D2T anyhow.  I haven't run across any 3d eyes that I would have faith in them not falling off of a jig yet.

I topcoat the eyes on my jigs as well. I use D2T.
But the cheap eyes don't stay where I put them while I am applying the epoxy.
There just a pain to deal with.
