I've had quite a few Browns regurgitate some really big Gobies in the past month. Some of them are in the 5" range. So I started playing with this new Goby imitation and it's been on fire!
I use the Tube-Tx mold and either 1/4 or 3/8th head. Then I slide a 3" Carrot stick on the rear of the hook. Over that, a 3" tube that I trim to 2.25". The carrot stick as a tail looks just like a goby tail. And the tube tails puff and flair like the over-sized fins on a goby.
Overall length is 4". A tube itself is a great Goby imitation but the addition of the carrot stick tail makes it a dead ringer. I can't wait to try this on Sturgeon Bay Smallmouth.

That's a cool looking bait, super idea.

Nice ! Smallies would love that thing.

Way to mix 2 styles to get an effective bait to catch them

That's ingenious! Maybe a new mold?
