I posted this in customer support, but it's actually the other way around. I've received some feedback that we need to add an additional mold category that is species specific, Walleye. Here is where I need help:
1) Should there be any additional areas added?
2) What baits should be added to Walleye?

I've caught walleye on the CC Glider (lots!) and a few on the Wittle Wutz-it. I'm sure the Wittle Wutz-it would be a great spring walleye bait...I just didn't get the mold until summer. Isn't there a post of a guy from a Nordic country with a huge walleye on the big Wutz-it?
Any of the carrots should be of interest to the walleye guys. I've caught a number of walleyes on the 6" skinny carrot and a slew of saugers (a relative of the walleye...also known as sand pike) on the 1.75" on a jig ...but lately on a "Lindy rig".
The 4.75 curl tail worm would be a very popular walleye bait, along with the 7" ribbed ribbon worm which is very high on my want list!
I've caught lots of walleyes on Tube Baits...so all of those should be on the page.
Big swim baits are popular for big walleyes...
The craw molds should be high on the list....but I don't think most walleye guys think of fishing a crawfish for walleyes. I catch a lot on the MadDad XL while smallmouth fishing...in fact I got a 20+ incher a couple weeks ago (I put all the big ones back...a keep the barely legal ones...15"-18"...to eat).
#1 without a doubt would be the 3" and 4" CC Glider (you have a 4" ...correct??)

We don't have a 4" Glider - are you trying to tell me something?
I can make one. I also need to make the Skirted Chub Grubs into just grubs as well. They all use the same body and I really like the action it has.

i do not fish walleye much but i know alot of guys use paddle tail swimbaits.. not hollow belly .. the solid kind with no head and then they put them on a lead head with a hook

I thought I read you made a 4" Glider for someone...I'm probably confusing it with the Chub Grub.
No...I don't think a 4" Glider is necessary.

Locally on the Mississippi River we see a lot of 4" ringworms used for fall, winter and spring walleye/sauger. We also see a huge market for paddletailed grubs in 2.5" and 3". The paddletails are NOT the flat, spade shaped tails but rather a tail much like that of a Culprit panfish paddletail or the Brewer Paddletail. The paddletail bodies are only 3/8" thick and round. I can send you some samples if you want to have a starting point and yes, I know you won't copy.

The one bait that a lot of walleye fishermen use is a leech. A four or five inch worm with a go go tail would come close to copying this. Also using just the swimming tail off the four inch worm might work, something I will try this next year. The biggest thing for lure makers is the colors for walleye baits are somewhat different from bassbaits. Lots of chartreuse, orange, and even purple.

I meant the ribbon tail tail mold as a leech.

I've thought about making a stubby 2" worm with the tail off the 10" Ribbon Tail. I think it would get crushed by quite a few species. I'll have to give it a test!

I would love to see one. Normally when we look at an existing bait we try and identify what about it makes it productive. Then we look at what may be less than ideal about it. Once we have those 2 things we look to enhance the positive, while eliminating the negative. We also look to incorporate other good attributes from other baits we've designed. It's a process that has worked well for us.

Jason....I'll put a 2-1/2"and a 3" paddletail in the mail tomorrow. I'll also toss in what we call a ringworm that is 4".

CCM doesn't make a 4" Glider, but that 4.25" Flipster ain't nothin' to sneeze at!

Most of the time, here in Colorado, we use the same baits that catch Small Mouth. Such as, the the K-Grub, Tube-baits, Swimbaits, Twin-tails, etc. Jason, I believe your baits are accurately made for multiple species of fish. I think the color is the thing that should be focused upon when it comes to Walleye. ;)

Also very important is the scent. I need to experment with adding upperhand scent to my plastic. I see he has one with leech scent in it that Im going to try.

Also looking at the flipster mold, know its for flipping, but if you used a injector plate it would cut the depth in half and should give it more motion. I think?
