REAPERS... I've seen Countless Lures called Reapers, usually the Leech-imitators. I've Google-searched different wordings for Reapers (Freshwater Reapers, and such), with not One Article or Pic about/of a Real Critter "Reaper". What is a Reaper? Is it a Homegrown Title?

It is generally a take off of a leach. One of the best, of course, is the Mo Magic. There is two ways to "swim a leach imitation. One with the tail flat so you get a slow undulating fall. And the other vertical so you get a minnow body imintation.

Thank You Sir! I have an OP Mold that I get 3 different baits out of, from the same cavities, and 2 of those 3 are EXACTLY what You just described! Those 3 are truly the baits I've been missing...!

Take any of the shorter carrot molds...put a heavy sheet of aluminum foil (see the many threads on this subject) in the middle of the mold and you will have 2x per cavity of the best "reaper"... aka ... leech baits you have ever seen! One side of the bait will be flat...the other rounded...molded in black or a dark brown...they are bass candy!

Roger on'nat, Mr. Andy!
I think that You, especially, would like these baits I'm making from that mold. I actually thought about You while I was making them...I know You fish Leeches. I thought about DF, too, he's an OP Man.

The Reapers you mention Gary were one of the first consistent walleye plastics I fished. a 1/8 to 1/4 jighead and a three or four inch reaper jigged along the breakline of a sand shelf and walleyes and sauger were almost eager to hit them. Man, that was a long time ago.

I used the same set up (1/8 marabou jig with a reaper) around brushpiles for bass back in the seventies. Won some money on that bait!
