Title: Cucumber shad.....
Post by: ghostbaits on 11/09/11 15:47 UTC
A preface to this recipe. You must keep your temps reasonable as the large flake (and medium flake) will curl and the fish will not react to it as well for some reason.

Here it is:

Top: 4oz   1 drop white, 3 drops watermelon brown (M-F)   pinch small green flake, pinch small lime green flake, pinch large black flake, pinch blake string and dash large white flake

Bottom:  4oz plastic: 2 drops black, dash med holo flake

We don't have clear water much down here except in the spring and this is by far and away the best color I have found.

Nice looking bream colored bait there.  I bet the bass whack that bait
hard when fished tight to cover.

What are reasonable temps?   I just got some 0.062 sized glitter & am bad to shoot hotter than most.

And just for Jason  - I bet you could even catch a catfish on that color.

Depends on the flake color (blue, gold and purple bad about curling) but generally you want to stay around 330but or so. Or thing you will see is the big flake will sink quickly in real hot plastic and all will be on one side of your bait. Good dispersion is key on this color.

Try it, you will be shocked!!!!

I don't think Ghost knows how to make a bad color on a bait. Or, he's doing a lot of editing!! ;D
