"how does it compare to clear powder paint for durability" ....Bourne Bill

I dip painted blades in it and when its fully dried is harder than a rock.  In applications where a liquid top coat is called for I think its about the best top coat there is. The powder is dynamite for powder coats you want to clear coat but if you are curing the powder coats with heat you really don't need to top coat unless you want some assurance of shine.

I paint the jigs with an airbrush, and I want to clear coat over that for durability.

Are you spraying powder paint or a liquid? If you are using a liquid you'll probably want to use the CS Clear Coat. Powder paints and get the powder form of top coat if you are heat curing. If you are using powder coat for color and not heat curing you can use the CS Clear Coat to....or cure the powder color first, then spray your CS top coat. Once cured the powder coat really doesn't need any other top coat unless you want to add some uv enhancement.

I'm not sure on this...so someone from Do-it needs to chime in....but I was under the impression that spraying CS would be an inhalation hazard and you would need very good ventilation and a respirator.

I always dip into CS.

CS liquid vinyl is solvent based.  Many do thin this paint and spray it, but good ventilation is a must.  CS does have a water based liquid that would be a better option for spraying.

I still get messed up on this. Page 80, item 2718 and 2719 Seal coat Lure & Jig finish.  Page 83, item 2964, 2965 Seal Coat Lure & jig finish. What's the difference? Is it just the addition of UV Blast? and can you use both finishes as atop coat for lure painting? I use them for a jig dip now, but am thinking of using one or the other for a plug dip. (which is best)?

There is Seal Coat and the there is Seal Coat with UV.  Both are exactly the same, but one has UV enhancer that is part of the UV Blast Series.

Not sure if I am doing something wrong, but I have a problem with the Seal Coat peeling off, especially on tin or lead jigging spoons. I don't even bother trying anymore. It's definitely better on plastic such as crankbaits.

I have coated several jigs just to see and never peeled.  But never fishes them much yet.

Have the same issue. I painted some Colorado blades up for my walleye spinner rigs. Let it dry for 2 days and took it out to test. After several fish the seal coat peeled and the paint was off. Maybe it's An issue with blade finish?
