Title: CS coating
Post by: tom1441 on 03/04/16 09:37 UTC
Got a can of cs coating the other day and was wondering how many coats are you putting on your crankbaits?  I have only done one dip let hang for a couple days then put the hooks on ready to fish. But if anyone is doing more than one coat how long between coats are you waiting? Or just how are you using it?

On most of my baits I'm just using one coat.

One the bigger ones...especially if I think a Pike might like...I use two.

I dry mine in my  spray  booth with a ceiling spot light on them and they get nice and warm with good air circulation and I can do the 2nd coat in about 4 hrs. But, I often let them dry overnight.

I use one coat, if I'm bored I'll dip twice. I allow 24 hours between coats just because I'm in no hurry. Basically one coat is great two should be bullet proof

I'm trying my best to get away from the epoxy. It works great but what a pain. If this works out like the epoxy good by to it
