Title: Do-it
Post by: bfox12585 on 06/01/16 19:04 UTC
Just got back into making some plastics since the kids are getting older. To give you a reference my last order was from caney creek which I consider the Cadillac of lure making. After receiving my first order from "Do-it". I'm completely flabbergasted missing more than half of the colors I ordered. Wrong type of plastic ( got regular ordered soft) and received one color I didn't order (or want). All of this happened after I emailed before hand and expressed my concerns that the quality seemed to suffer. Down to the website where the reward system tells me they need 5000 points for a mold. I called and they said this was wrong and should be 500 then asked me to make a list and email them do they could fix it.   Sorry for the rant. Jason is awesome both as an inventor and just as a person he had even helped my wife pick out the prefect mold for me ( still my fav. A Bigfoot frog). And while I do not expect that level of customer service from do it I must say I am overall unsatisfied with the change and feel like I list a friend in caney creek. I honestly don't know if I'll ever make another "Do-it" order.

Did you call them ? They are great to work with. Every time I have had an issue they have fixed it. But you need to call them. Being an owner of a company I can tell you mistakes happen and when they do you need to call them and let them know. You can't fix a mistake if you don't know you made it. Right ?

bfox, I apologize for your experience.  Not going to make any excuses, but we will do all we can to get you taken care of.  If you have time tomorrow, call Jordan @ 319-984-6055.

Apdriver, are you looking for something specific?

I have never had a issue with do-it that they did not correct right away. Jason was good people but so is the do it gang. Not sure ordering once every 3 years then whining in a forum about it is the right way to go. I have also received a few small things I did not order but I called and thanked them. Sure they will correct whatever is wrong!

Yes do it stands behind there products from my experience. They are human and can make mistakes.  Understand the frustration though too.

It's no secret that I'm a big fan of Do-It, just like I was of Jason.  Mistakes happen occasionally, but they have been rare and quickly corrected.  I went to the archives and read bfox's 16 or so prior posts.  At least two of them dealt with similar problems.  Go figure.

I almost agree with Denny, except I have not once had an order with complications. Do-It Rocks in my opinion. Thanks Guys!

I think they have been having some problems with collorant, I've had to cancel an order twice because of color out of stock and the way they handle orders when something is out of stock. I wish they had some way to let you know when you place an order, phone or Internet, if they had everything in stock but I'm sure they'll get it worked out in time

Anyone is capable of having a bad day but they will rectify the problem. I have bought many mold's, plastic, and colorant from both Jason and DO-IT and have never had a issue.
As far as colorant if it not on the list it's out of stock is the way it's been.   And if you ordered essential plastic there is only one formula and that's medium. I 'am a huge DO-IT fan and have 35 lead mold's an 30 plus injection mold's and will continue to order from DO-IT until the end of time.
