Good looking baits, Phil. Did you do all of that with glitter only, or did you add colorant as well?

Thank You, Mr. Denny! It's all flake, no colorant. Awhile back, maybe a few weeks ago, Jason mentioned a bit of .035" Opal flake he has, that's not listed on the website. I contacted him about it, he told me what I had to do...I picked up 4 oz.s.
It's kind of a cloudy flake with an Opal Hue, but it does lose much of it's original color when it hits the hot plastic. It retains a mild "Opal Spectrum" of color and a bit of a "Micro Crinkle" texture...it's like "Flash Foil" in a flake. It doesn't have the "mirrory" flash like most flake, it's more so a "matte"...subdued. This is Good Stuff!

If You look at the tail of the closest bait, You can see what looks like "spots" of White, with Clear Plastic between the "White Spots"...the plastic is Crystal Clear, the spots are the flake, You just can't see the Mild Color nor the Texture on the Flake. Getcha some of that .035" Fire Opal flake while You can, because I'm going to pick up another, at least 4 oz.s, before it's gone.

I'll pass this on...I'm ALMOST ashamed to admit it...but as another option for the Soft Plastic Engineer that's makin' Baits for himself/herself. I shot 1 mold-worth of 3" Skinnies (12 baits, of course) of the top color, trimmed about 3/4" off the tails, then split them down the middle, long-ways, as straight as I could get them...laid the halves into the cavities on 1 side then closed and shot the bottom color. This worked quite well! BUT this does make a 50/50 Laminated Bait, when using "full halves". I also left the tail-end of these baits as the bottom color, to imitate a less-color tail, and this leaves a tail that's a "2nd color", in a sense.
I like 'em!

These 1st pics are a 3.5" Regular Carrot...I poured the top color via Injector...that wasn't too bad. I shot 3" Skinnies in the top color, split them, then of course, shot the Bottom color after laying the "Split Top Color Bodies" into the cavities...just to clarify, Bro's, since I seem to be leaving out some details.

3" Skinny...shot Top Color 3" Skinnies, split, laid in, Bottom Color shot...Dead Serious.
