My 2nd Mud Bug mold will be delivered tomorrow...along with the claw mold...and I already have a tip mold...so....
What are your favorite Mud Bug colors/combos...either that you fish...or that sell well?
The forecast is for 8 degrees in the am ...with 25mph winds...so I think I'll pass on going ice fishing and mold baits!
This year my favorite Mad Dad color was watermelon/red flake and watermelon/red flake with black claws.
Although I haven't fished them yet...I made up a bunch of watermelon/red flake with chartreuse claw tips and they sure do look good!
Note: They are to be fished by themselves...not on a swim jig.
Thanks in advance! Andy

Were the claw tips clear or pearlized?. Don't forget Orange tips; either clear or pearlized as well. You will also need to come up with a Brown based craw. Some swear by Black with or without a "special" glitter. A black with an accent claw tip seems a reasonable choice as well.
With the three molds mud bug, claw, and tip; you can really get imaginative.

I did a dozen watermelon brown with red, black and orange flake with red tips....and another dozen with orange tips. Holding them up against pictures of our common crawfish..they look pretty realistic.
Next batch is going to be black/blue flake with bright blue tips.
