Yes, very nice looking bait. Wish the weather today was like the weather was in your picture. LOL
-
Wow now that is awesome! Great looking bait there.
-
Masterpiece! Great looking lure.

Actually, it was not that much more work than a standard core... probably would be easier with a twinjector (but I don't have one).

Here's how it was done:
First, inject smoke body around tubing/pin -

Second, rip off the tail and remove tubing pin (toward front because tail plastic is very thin) -
Third, insert "standard" pin and inject blue strip -

Fourth, remove standard pin and rip off blue tail -

Fifth, inject chartreuse -

The only problem I had was just opposite of my Smokin' Shad (with too dark of a body)... my first Paddle Tail had cores that were too light and suffered from lack of vividness, but of course this was an easy fix with a little more X2.
*My apologies for the fuzziness in the pictures - not sure what is going on with the camera.

I tried something very similar this morning with the 3" Glider. I used a nail and shot my clear/gunmetal color in the mold. I snipped the tails and pulled the nails then slid a wire into the core cavity all the way back to the tail vent and shot a blue. I pulled the wires and shot black in but that black is where the fun ended. The wires were a no-go as far as letting plastic run thru even with a vent at the end of the run and the very ends of the tail snipped back so I has a definite hole.

Thanks, brother... I'm surprised you're not jumping in on this core method, because you are the kind of guy that should really be able to run with it... I know you got the skills (you've proven that).
-
Great job efishnc Im gonna have to try that. I love the colors on that one!
-
I'm surprised you're not jumping in on this core method,
I'll give it a try, just haven't been shooting many baits lately. The stuff you guys are cranking out using this method is very impressive.
-
You guys are really good I'm over on tackleunderground and I haven't seen anything new over there in a long time there's more ingenuity and thinking outside of the box over here and it is just remarkable keep um coming nice work and technique indeed.
-
The core shot really change the looks of a bait thanks efishnc.
-
I'm speechless.............. .......WOW!

Too much of that amber colored additive to your ice water?

Thanks and stand by... (I have more tricks up my sleeve, but I just don't have the time to get into them right now).
-

The biggest thing is getting the colors right... when the colors are not done right, they come out "meh" (as you can see by the pale one I did first), but when the colors are on, they come out a whole lot snappier (and almost begging for some sailor talk).
-
I'm speechless.............. .......WOW!
Lines - I'm glad you like it, and I'm even more glad that you are so enthusiastic about it... you obviously were never a sailor or you would have the F-bomb as a prefix, suffix, or separator of your two syllable words (like speech-friggin'-less)
-
Nice step by step efish. A lot of thought and effort went into making that bait. Well done !
-
LOL efishnc, my Dad was a sailor so I know some of the language.

This really goes out to all of us here on the forum...

Thanks G2L... (and it's kinda nice to know the competition has nothing on us.)
