The cricket might be a bit bigger than what I want for most ice fishing presentations but I think will be great late season and open water. The nymph one will be dynamite.

I think I'd snip that split tail off the cricket just where it starts to get wide in the body and use the tail portion.

That crickett should be awesome for spring and summer. The purple is also a killer I think. Nice job Rex!

Put it on a orange jig and it’s money.

Thanks guys; was worth the wait, been experimenting with different color legs and trying to get that right.

Very nice Rex. I have that cricket mold also but after I bought it I noticed the body's pretty thin so what size hook is best and rigging this thing? I have not used it yet because never figured out what lead jig would work for these? Anyone have a link to a lead jig head would work for these? I have the #6 lead jig mold that splits the bait if i try to rig it so obviously that is not going to work so I'm thinking I just need to use a jig with the round ball only? Or just a hook only?

Don't underestimate these baits they have a lot of potential
I have had requests already for these during ice fishing season
Rex,
you are on the right path on color combination for different waters
Most clear water lakes in my area use white body, blk. or red legs for ice fishing the nymph
During spring, black and some with red legs, work well using a #10 plain hook using a clear bubble float
I also have heard some fly fishermen use these on trout streams
I found out these baits work well in deeper waters using just a plain #12 to #8 hook with micro split shot,
depending on how you want it for fall
Hope this helps

Thanks billygee for the pointers.
I plan to fish them on 3 and 4 mm with 2x hooks to give me a larger gap and longer shank.
Otherwise I’ve painted up some collarless jigheads. Hoping to use them tomorrow if the wife will let me out of the house haha.
