No, this one did not drive me crazy like the small coiled core in the ES Smokin Shad... this candy core (which is designed specifically for tube baits) is almost as easy to shoot as the standard E-core is with solid body baits.  Sure, fabricating the copper sleeve takes a little more time than simply cutting a rod, but once it's done, tube baits such as these can be made with almost no flaws.

Would love to see a picture of the copper sleeve.  It must screw out of the plastic after the first pour?

Imagine these spinning on a slow death rig... not sure if it would hypnotize the fish or the fisherman, but it might have a neat look.

It's just 1/4 inch tubing hammered flat and twisted around the spindle.
