I think Netcraft has solder specific for making these jigs. Maybe check with Barlows and Lurepartsonline too. Use a heavy duty soldering iron on these. I know it sounds like over kill but that extra heat immediately makes things go smoother. You can make a blade holder using hard setting modeling material, sold in blocks at craft shops. Just press however many blades you can work with into the material and let it dry three or four days. Once hard set you can pop the blades in and out in a blink but they'll stay positioned for you to solder hooks and not be sliding all over the place. Use a forceps to hold the hooks. Solder away. If you are using more than one blade shape just make additional soldering blocks.
Powder paint will be a tough customer on those small jigs without it bulking up even if its sprayed. The CS vinyl jig paint can be thinned down real well for dipping the base and primary colors. Toothpicks can add dots and the thinned colors and stripes can be done with the CS pens. Glitter coats are easy using thinned clear CS jig coat....use a small point paint brush to put the clear where you want glitter, then quickly sprinkle the glitter in place. When the clear is dry shake the excess glitter off over a piece of paper with a fold in it and give the area a quick coat of clear to seal the glitter in place. Pour the glitter back into the container and you're good for another day.
