We just spent four days at the cabin and this guy came to the line on Weds morning about 730 while casting the breakwater in Two Harbors on Lake Superior.

Just over 21 inches and around 2 1/2 pounds this guy was a scrapper. He came from about 70 feet of water on a gold spinner with a dip of flame red powder coat on the bottom 1/2 of a 1/2 ounce brass torpedo body and a #4 french blade with gold holo tape on the front side. A plain number 6 Gammi treble finished the spinner. I took a a similar sized Lake Trout too that morning and gave it to a kid who has sort of taken a liking to fishing with us old farts out there. Nice kid, just never catches. lol
The Coho was grilled with sweet potatoes over charcoal and was pretty much devoured by Carole and I.

Here was the sunrise at 5:45 from the middle of the breakwater facing shore. Canadian wildfires were shifting lots of smoke down into Minnesota and made for some unreal sunrises and sunsets, plus the smoke in the air raised absolute hell with my breathing../ My inhalers got serious workouts over the last four days.
