A bit chilly here....

-22 this morning actual, -45 with the windchill factored in. I won't be doing any practice casting in the yard today.

I hear the deep south might get snow/ice with this little cooling session Mother Nature thinks we need. Any truth to that?

Here in West Central Mo they are calling for 5-8  inches of snow.  50 or so miles south of us 8-16 inches of snow.  Parts of Texas are expecting up to 1 inch of ice.  Dont know if the ice will precede the snow or come later but that is going to put a damper on things fo sure.  Throw in sub zero temps and yeah I aint going nowhere for the duration.

Calling for freezing rain here in North Alabama early Saturday morning. Possibly a little snow too.

Coming up on noon in a half hour and we're all the way up to -16. Maybe need to take a shirt off with this sort of heat.

May not seem bad to you but losing power because of ice in temps that are going to drop below zero can be a death trap for some. Especially the elderly & folks with health problem which i happen to have both in my house.

Some of us think this is normal every year stuff... We live through it year after year.  It will be alright.

Tom, you go ahead and keep those temp. That is ridiculously cold. Here in north central WV our temperature dropped fast just before sunset. According to the National Weather Service we have a cook’s choice of weather heading toward the Appalachian Valley and mountains area with a low of 3° tonight and 0° on Monday. Everyone stay safe and check on your neighbors even if you don’t like them.
