I had one of the toughest days on the bay yet, and got my reward for the effort just as I was giving up. I paddled hard against a wind that threw 3 to 4 foot breaking waves at me all day. I could barely get the jig to the bottom where I was marking fish before I was swept down wind, lifting the jig back into the middle of the water column. Late in the day I connected with these two nice Chesapeake Bay stripers, 27.5 and 31.5 inches by free spooling the bait down to them as soon as I saw them on the depth finder. Casting out any distance was my mistake. I learn something new every time out. This lesson was a good one! They both hit the 7 inch Wutz It with glow additive, a rattle and UV Blast dip on a 1 oz Style 9 jig head, the one I had in a previous video how to make them.
