HD sinking additive
« on: 07/20/13 13:21 UTC »
When using the sinking additive; it makes the color very opaque.  The glitter doesn't show through at all. I have decided not to use glitter when I'm using HD. Just wondering about some other opinions on using glitter with HD.

The glitter still shows on the skin so I still use it
Until next time.

I hadn't noticed any problems along that line.

I use glitter with the HD additive it does show. I recently caught a 6.3 pound LMB on a smoked 5" stick bait with black flake the black flake is darker then the smoke and does show. The HD additive does make it much more difficult to get the desired color. You can check out my blog.bassinthehood.com for photos and full story.

Recently I have been using 1 tbsn HD and 1 tbsn pickling salt with good results for a little clearer bait.

I just use more glitter. No biggie. It's cheap.---Tim.

Bill...does the pickling salt work better than grinding your own?
Until next time.
