Most of you don't know but I'm a deer freak!!! I bow hunt only and its a true passion. I love managing, food plots, land improvements just ever aspect of deer and land management. Well yesterday I cashed in a birthday screw work pass and hit the woods. Its a 60 acre piece of heaven I married into and its my refuge. Well as I recharged my battery this little fellow sat for a visit

Really made my day, kinda like every thing in the world will be okay. Figured yawl might like it

Right neighborly of him to drop by.  I had a chipmunk that thought he owned one of my deer stands years ago.  I would take field corn and peanuts for him when I hunted that stand.

I take a pocket full of black sunflower seed. Chickdees love the stuff I leave on the railing atop the stand's walls. Its too cold for chipmunks here now. With what we have ripping around outside today tomorrow's opener might be something else. Man, the wind this afternoon.....unreal. And from the east. We had some light flurries earlier.

I can't quite make out what species of tweety that is Mo, but having birds feel comfortable and trusting enough to keep you company while in their world is really just neat. I think the chickadees I mentioned are one of the most friendly and trusting birds alive. I've had them land on my cap while in the stand reading.
