video camera

Ok guys, I have been asked a dozen times to try and do a video showing some of the stuff I do but my still camera and I are not on good terms with its video capabilities. That said, what's a decent, moderately price video camera that can be mounted to a tripod and used to record some simple clips of some of the tricks I use with the plastics? I'm looking for one with a decent sound system so I can explain things as I record. Key word.....
moderately
, as in priced.

Define moderately priced.
A $300 point & shoot is moderately priced compared to a $900 DSLR. Pretty much any halfways decent digital camera will take passable HD video nowadays. I spent $120 on a waterproof Fuji to take along fishing in the canoe, 'cause tipping the canoe & dumping our expensive DSLR in the water would suck balls. Takes ok pics, takes good video. Kick that price up a little to $150-$200 and you should have a camera that does both pics and video very well. Look at features and reviews and buy the one that suits you best.
And don't listen to Denny and Mo, we both know neither of them is suitable for TV either.

from my snowmobile experience i really like the wasp cam. I will be buying a mount for the top of my outboard this summer for it.
If you do find a camera you like and you are worried about sound quality just youtube the camera name and some videos recorded with it should pop up.

Go with a spypoint HD Xcell. They are cheaper than gopro to 1080 vids and are waterproof. Pretty good price to.

I would buy a GoPro,that way it can be used outdoors, mounted on your fishing pole. They mount almost anywhere, and their HD.You see them everywhere on outdoor programs.

It can be tough to get good sound sometimes. This may help.

Many of today's Point and Shoot cameras have pretty darn good video...especially in a setting like your work bench where you can add good light.
Go to Wally World and get one...and if you don't like it you can return it.

I picked up a nice Canon. This won't get used outside except for family things. I can tripod this one and video as I work at close quarters and the sound is very good in that proximity. I already have a good Canon digital that can shoot video but I want a video camera for use when we are traveling to go along with the camera. Its doubtful that I'll be hauling this camcorder to the woods or in the boat.

I have a Kodak zi8 that works well. Has built in stereo mic and jack for an external mic.
Same cam I used in the Senko video.
