Hey guys just wondering what compressor every body uses for their airbrushes? What should I be looking for in a compressor?

Well if you can stand the noise or can set it up so you don't hear it I would get a real compressor as opposed to an airbrush specific one for nothing more than the ability to use it for other shop type things such as nail guns, tire inflation and any other use you may find because it's nice to have volume for an airbrush sometimes called consumption which will prevent pulsing your airbrush while painting. If you must get a silent compressor then by all means spend as much as possible and get one with a small tank, again for the pulsing issue. I use a pancake compressor and it's perfect for AB'ing and it doesn't cycle all that much but it does startle the heck outta me sometimes :D

Won't a regular big compressor have to much psi?

Negative you will adjust the pressure with the gauge which it should have from the factory, if not they are relatively cheap and while you're at it get a moisture trap for both the compressor and the AB. Here's what I use:

Note: my compressor is a Craftsman unit this is a picture showing the type and setup, I'm not familiar with this brand but stand behind the Craftsman unit.

I use my full sized air compressor in my garage.  You just need to get a GOOD pressure regulator and water and oil filter.  Works fine.

I use a contractor type compressor. Small enough to carry but not an airbrush one.
