UV blast clear coat

I notice when I use the UV blast ( it doesn't matter if it is liquid or powder) that it doesn't dry very clear. Is this the nature of the product. I suppose it really only matters to the fish. I have noticed it to make quite a difference in stained water compared to the same color non UV blast head.

If you are referring to the powder coat, yes it will dull the finish some. I use the liquid spray product Do-It sells. It dries clear and if it wears off I just re-apply.

The liquid I have used is the seal coat UV in the oz. jars like the vinyl paint. It wasn't as noticeable as the powder but it still made the color slightly "milky". Could it need to be thinned? Thanks!

Do-It has a tall, narrow spray bottle of fast-drying uv top coat that I use, not the shorter bottles with the thicker product. My in-line [Mepps type] spinner blades and trolling blades get the spray treatment.

I use the top coat UV on all my lead baits without any issue. I always stir ( not shake) it well and put on a light coat. If it is getting cloudy on you I'd bet you are putting it on too thick.

   The UV powder coat will make a black jig head turn to a dark purple. Not sure if that helps or hurts just saying what it does. I have noticed that if you powder coat the black and bake it before you add the UV it doesn't seem to change the color as much. But then makes one wonder if it's working as well.

I use the UV top coat as the last step...and always to a cool jig. I have noticed that if the jig is still warm the coat can go on cloudy.

I've used the powder as a top coat and it isn't perfectly clear, but most colors I don't see enough of a change to worry about it.  I also mix it in with the candy color powders and I see almost no difference in color and the uv works great.  I haven't tried it mixed in w/ normal colors yet, but I expect it should work to a point.
