question for jason

How thick is the aluminum that your molds are made of.  Would it be a big deal to have one made from thicker aluminum.  Thanks.

We use 5/8" aluminum.  I believe most are made from 1/2".  It wouldn't be a problem using thicker (or thinner) aluminum.  There may be some purchasing implications buying a small quantity vs a bundle (+/-1,000lbs).  What are you wanting to do that will be over 1" thick?

Thanks,

Jason

The 5/8 is fine, I have an idea for doing a core shot but i need a bigger sprue hole to make it work or at least try to make it work.  just wanted to know what kind of dimensions i have to work with.  Thanks and God bless.
