Cooking Lessons
« on: 11/29/19 07:33 UTC »
I can give Turkey cooking lessons if anyone needs them. My squaw says it looks like a lot of hard work. You can see the cooker in the background. It was in the mid 50's with a little sun shinning on the porch. I layed back in the hammock with the little dog in my lap and boy oh boy I went out like a fat kid in dodge ball.  It was a great Thanksgiving.

Tom how much snow did you guys get.

About an inch and a half this morning. Rain, sleet, snow, wind and just basic misery coming later on today and tomorrow. Got about 5" on Tuesday night. Wet. Not bad blowing it though.

I'm simmering a turkey carcass as I type this. Soup is the target.

Are you certain you're not going to get snow tonight Basscat? This system is pretty big and looks like it could sag wayyyy down your way id the Wacker gets out and does his anti-snow dance. I know something has pissed of the weather gods what with the east wind we have here tonight and with 80% chance of snow and or rain things will be dicey for tomorrow. I thought I heard where the south was in a drought and needed some moisture so maybe this mess will head your way. Take that hammock in just in case the wind shows up.

How did the turkey soup turn out. It hit the spot given the cold weather.

I’d be more than happy to send some of this freezing rain down your way Dave. Our driveway has about an inch of ice already and this is supposed to keep up until tomorrow morning. My soup beginnings might have to be used to get up the drive to the street. Lol

I've always loved being in the deer woods with light snow falling. It's like being in a wonderland.  Some of my best buck deer have come during a snowfall.
