Heat guns

Harbor freight has there 2 setting heat guns, on sale for 7.99 each. They have held up for me as good as some of the other brands. At least the price is right. I got a flyer in the mail about 3 days ago.

Never tried the Harbor Freight one, I've got a Wagner dual setting one that I've had for years that I got at Home Depot.  It was $21 and it's found in the painting section as they use it for paint stripping it works well.

Fatman. the first one I bought was a Wagner, I bought it because of the Wagner name, figured it would be a good one. But it lasted about 3 months and the low setting went out.
Probably just a fluke, there is always a lemon in about any thing. Seems to be my luck to pick up the one that is defective.

I've had a Wagner for about 3 years now and no problems here.

I first started with a harbor freight one and the guts of it came out the same hole the heat was coming out. Scared the heck out of me. Got a Porter Cable and have been using it a long time.

They last a long time until your doing 80th oz and you get to hot and the lead drops in and shorts it out.
May your days be filled with sun shine and you always have a tight line. AMEN

Walleye Whacker, that's what happened to my second one. I had it setting up right and was heating a small jig, when a piece of lead fell down inside the heat gun and shorted it out. Won't do that again.
