I remember just how cold milk was served in these pitcher and glass’s and the ice cream in the bowls were to die for.

Heck yeah that’s what I’m talking about! Those were my favorite growing up. I flew up on well water and we didn’t even need ice with those cups.

Porkrind I’m surprised that more haven’t responded. But I was hoping that people would come up with different things from there past that they remember. Another one was my grandmother’s kitchen floor had a slant to it and her cakes had more iceing on one end and every one wanted a piece from that end as a kid. But was hard to get because there was ten families of grandkids.

We had those very glasses at home when I was a kid. My Mother got them because they didn't break when dropped. lol We had those until the color was gone off every one.

I remember percolator coffee filling the house with smells early in the morning. I spent as much time in my Grandmother's house as our own and I remember the smells of her cooking. She made bread every other day, by hand the old way and did that until she was 106 years old and finally had to go into a nursing home. She made the darnedest fried donuts ever using lard, and those sure added to the aromas. Here cookies did the same.

She died at 112 and I was holding her hand when she took he last breath.
