Dark brown

Trying to get a dark brown. Can’t get it with X2. I’m looking for the color of a hellgrammite body. They’re really not black but a really dark brown. Any help?

Add a drop of black to the brown you have. Maybe two.

Add a drop or two or three of White to add opaqueness, add more Brown, and maybe another drop or two of Black.

I’ve already added black. Haven’t tried the white yet. I was really surprised by how weak the X2 brown is. I t took 25 drops and  at least 5 drops of black in 1 cup to get where I am. I’ll keep working on it.

25 drops X2 Brown in 8 ozs?!?
I'm thinking You might try using something to make sure the Brown pigment powder isn't hard-packed in the bottom of the bottle.

I have Caney Creek non-X2 Brown and X2 Brown.  My non-X2 Brown doesn't take much to get up there...the X2 Brown is potent.

The colorant is brand new. Just got it. But I did check for hard packing.

If you have some straight, non-fluorescent green, try a couple drops to see where that goes.

Thanks Tom. I actually got pretty close to it by going dark green pumpkin and adding a little red. I’ll get it. Thanks for all your responses.
