Are was today seen hundred of fish in 8 to 25’ but they even refused minnows most of the walleyes were tight on the bottom we sight fished a couple vertical and they wanted nothing to do with 1/8 and 1/6 with the fat fork and Jacobs 2.5” fork tail and even went as far as to put a 1” on a 1/32 shad dart and still got nothing. I got one 10” bass and a 15” pike on the first lake and moved to the second lake for the day and the same thing on that lake. The majority of the fish were on the break. The lakes we fished were in Oconomowoc witch is part of the kettle moraine area of Wisconsin. Deep clear water lakes the first lake max depth was 53’ and the second was over 60’ with very little new weed growth that’s why the free swimming the break. We say large and small mouth, walleye, a couple really nice pike and muskies in the 40ish size not many gills and no crappies. Don’t know about you guys the lakes in Madison and Oconomowoc have launch fees and the paring lots are small. The first lake was 6 or 8 parking spaces and the second was 18 or 20. Oh by the way there was frost on the ground at 5:30 this morning and 67 by noon.
