Days 4 and 5 fishing the OBX Sound
« on: 06/28/19 20:35 UTC »
The fishing really dried up. Yesterday I was able to locate a few small trout and a decent 16” stripe on a blue hilite/blue glitter ripper paired up with a football swing jig. Today garnished only two small trout jigging a plastic shrimp I mixed half brown/red glitter with chartreuse tail. Doubtful I go out tomorrow due to the wind being 10-15 mph. It was a good trip while it lasted though.

hope you have enough time to get into them again. Great sunset. How is the knee holding up.
May your days be filled with sun shine and you always have a tight line. AMEN

Slow fishing is better than no fishing, so still I'm jealous.

I’m sitting here debating on giving it on last shot. The knee is doing okay I guess. I’m very mindful not to get it into a bind. Not much pain, it just feels weak. Amazingly enough it has played nice while in the boat.

Hope you get another day on the water and glad that the knee hasn’t given you issues.

Updated. Decided to go out and at least try it today. Turned out pretty well with 16 trout and 2 flounder. White and yellow chartreuse on 1/4 oz minnow head was the go to bait for all fish. I bet I missed 10 or more too.
