Finally......

Its a whopping 66 degrees right now. Fantastic! I really have to look to see a cloud.

Carole went shopping this morning and I called a friend and we went over to a small city lake full of trout and threw spinners for an hour. After he dropped me off at home I thought I'd sit on the porch and enjoy a cold soda only to be caught by Ma when she somehow snuck past me getting home. The porch, me and relaxing were not on her list apparently because she had the pruners in her hand and pointed me towards the raspberry bed. They are now trimmed but my hands are full of stickers....which I think was her plan to make it uncomfortable to hold a fishing pole again for a while.

The meds have been working and life is generally good unless I cough. 37 more pills and I should be operable again, but the snack list is getting re-written. Fun. Instead of peanuts I can now have broccoli with ranch dip.  This is a price we pay to get old. It sure beats spending my time looking at grass roots.

Yes Sir;  nuts and seeds are on the "no no" list.  Peanuts and almonds I can live without.  But roasted pecans in the fall is tough;  Esp the sugar coated ones fresh from the oven.  Glad you are better and up and around.
Don't over do it though.

Very nice to hear you're feeling well enough that Ma's putting you to work.  Here I was telling you to take it easy for a while...

Hey, either way you'll be handed some empty vessels before long and requested to go pick said raspberrys... That's a job I can live with, did plenty of it as a kid.  There's nothing like a fresh raspberry shake brother... good stuff.

It's all worth it in the end, very glad to hear you're felling a little better and you're right... looking at grass roots seems to be a poor alternative in comparison.

Keep on keepin' on Tom,

I got the tiller out of storage this morning, gas it up and tilled one of my gardens. I had about a 20" layer of leaves and grass clipping from last fall covering this garden. I really wanted to get this mixed into the soil a bit and it cut right in. Looks nice. I'll wait a week, hit it again digging deeper and then I'm set for planting.
