Irish Rover

http://custombaits.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=1974

4oz custom plastic
1 drop regular Red
1 dash Kelly Green strand glitter
20 drops X2 florescent Orange

the orange was over kill I'm sure but I started with 12 drops and when I added the red it went completely the opposite way I was hoping. So by the time I add all the extra Orange I'm sure the red is obsolete at this point

That is a pretty awesome color.  Sometimes the mistakes makes the colors better!  Nice job!

I just went back and looked at the color closer. Add some more or any green glitter, not a lot but some, and then hit this with a small shot of gold hi lites.

thanks guys, I do want to add some more green glitter. Part of my problem is that I do not have a ton of glitters/hi lites on hand.......yet. The Kelly green I had was the real small stuff and I was afraid that it would "darken" or pollute the orange.

By keeping the orange a little more transparent you can get around creating a "dirty" appearance with green in orange. I know you said you added more orange to make an adjustment after adding the red. Red can be strong in some colors...orange is one of them since red is a component color to get orange....so instead of using drops in a small batch try just dipping the end of a toothpick in the red and stir it in.

Honestly, I never tried the orange/green thing but I like what you have here and plan to do some dabbling in that combo today or tomorrow.

Thanks Ctom. Compliments coming from gurus is a great pick me up!!
I think the biggest change is that I would have gone to a "Tad" of glitter instead of a "Dash"

If you have some of your batch [the one you've shown] left over, try reheating it and adding some of the smaller green glitter to it and then shoot another run of baits just to check and see if things darken up that much.

I don't know if you do this or not, but take a chunk of that original scrap, bag it in a small ziplock, and hang it on your wall with the name on it along with the recipe you've shown written on the bag with a sharpie. That's a nice color as it stands and a guy can never have recipes written down in too many places.
