3.5" K-Chub Grub
« on: 08/28/13 13:22 UTC »
Anyone pouring this? Thinking about getting a couple, but I'm not sure about the size. Seems like it's maybe a little smaller than I typically throw. I usually throw Zoom Fat Alberts

I have the 3.5 chub grub from Do-it I have caught a few bass on them I plan on using it more often. I have never used the Fat Albert but before I started making my own grubs I used the GY brand of grub. I now only use the ones I make myself. i also use them as trailers.

Thanks Mic, but I will probably get them today so I can get the "dog days discount". I think it should be a good size. Any chance someone could throw a picture of a couple up?

Thanks Triton, but I'm talking about the single tail. I just ordered a sample pack so I will see one soon enough.

We just "shot" a bunch of them a couple of weeks ago - They are awesome!

I prefer to use the 4" PowerBait Pro Grub (on a lot of different presentations) and the K-Chub Grub is one of the closest I can find to it - I've even been putting the Berkley Pro Grub tails into it and experimenting with some new color combos - I go a little "overrun" onto the tail (due to the fact that the K-Chub tail is a little thicker) but it didn't effect the bait and trimmed/cleaned easily.  I also use the tails and bond them to my Pro Grub bodies.

You'll appreciate it!
Take somebody fishing soon!

Yeah, I got a sample pack. It looks to be just what I'm looking for. Swims great and I love the fat body. Now I just need to get a couple ordered and get them out to Lake Michigan.
