PB&J
« on: 12/12/13 14:34 UTC »
Hey all!  I am trying to replicate the GY PB&J.  I made some for The Dreamer and he was happy with it.  I have a guy asking for the same color.  I showed him what I made for Drew and he didn’t seem too impressed with it.  He wanted to make sure it matched what the "other manufacturers" are making.  I had never seen the color in person before, so I didn’t know where to start.  Cygarbuff was awesome enough to send me some.  Now that I am working on it, I am kind of baffled.  I can continue working on it until I get it right, but wanted to check to see if anyone had a recipe for this color before I wasted too much plastic.  Thank you in advance!

Take a look at this link and see if its close.

The brown looks like a pumpkin see almost and the purple looks like the midnight blue might grab it, maybe add a touch of red or purple to it. MF's indigo is darned near a dead ringer for it.

Thank you Tom! The Zoom pb&j looks like a different variation than the GY. I played around tonight. I did the colors separately and they looked good. Once I used the twinjector the colors needed some tweaking. Here is what I came up with tonight. The pics were taken with flash on

First attempt:

I added some marine blue to the black grape to try and make  it pop, but it didn't work:

That didn't work so I decided to try and add some more black grape. I ran out of plastic so I didn't get full worms. I decided to call it a night. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could add to make that purple pop some more? Thanks again!

I make a purple worm with 10 drops of x2 purple and one drop of x2 blue in 6oz of cc soft. I make 6", 4.5', 3.5" finesse worms from Do-it i call it Burple.

I think I am going to have to order some fluorescent blue or something to get that color to pop like that. I started working on other things for now and decided to quit wasting plastic until I can get it figured out. Thanks for the tip!
