Its That Time Again
« on: 02/25/14 12:32 UTC »
Here are some newly shoot baits I have made.  They are kind of my 4 basic food groups when I start out each spring while chasing specks and reds around.

Im not as skilled as some for the artists on here but these babies catch some fish.

The blue one produced a 26" and 21" speckled trout and 2 slot redfish as well as a couple other keep trout on Friday afternoon.  Unfortunately I was not the one who landed those hogs. My buddy was putting on a show hooking up and landing 8 fish in our first 150 yards on our only wade.  I was 15 yards away casting in the same area and missed the only hit I got.  That's just the way it goes sometimes.

I made a similar blue yesterday, but the blue and clear are loaded with glitter.  Blue is loaded w/ Canadian blue .04 and the clear is loaded with silver holo .015.  Going to be a killer color on some of the waters I fish where blue/silver is hot for pike.
