Wire keeper

Any one have a trick or tip on how to get in faster. I have tried both was 1 keeper first than hook 2 hook than keeper is faster for me

Far as I know it is just one of those aggravating things a guy has to tolerate . I'll put up with it cause I hate those blasted lead barbs .

I don't know of any secrets to this either. I do hook first then keeper. Heavy hook gives you something to lay and stabilize keeper against. Kinda painful and slow but I like the keeper too.

The wire keeper is the way to go for plastic baits. Yes it is slow going but a better holding jig then anything I have used in the past. On a trip to Canada last year I used the same 1/8oz. Jig and 4" flippin zip for 4 days.
