Hot orange
« on: 05/11/14 14:36 UTC »
I had nothing to do today with Ma gone so I played with a few ideas. One was to whip up a basic X2 fl. orange and then juice it with some tomato X2. Here's how it came out.

I tried it in several applications and I sort of fell in like with these. The orange was 8 drops of X2 fl. orange in 4 ounces, 1 small drop of tomato X2, gold Do-It hi lite and some gold .015 Do-It glitter.

The difference that the one drop of tomato makes in the orange is just plain nuts. This is going to be my "recipe" now. The picture was taken under an outdoor porch roof...its raining here again so I had to hide.

The other colors are just X2 left-overs.

Those are nice ctom, I like to use gold hi-lite in flor. orange also, and I like x2 tomato but it seems like any time I try to mix it with another color it ends up looking burnt.

I've found that tomato is a very tricky color if used to adjust another color. Stand alone its a great red, but if you really look at it tomato has other color components in it too and they may not be agreeable with colors you want to tweak with it. Using the tomato with the fluorescent X2 orange it really makes the orange really turn a corner....gives it a serious amount of depth.
