dipping baits
« on: 11/15/11 13:38 UTC »
Those of you that are dipping you baits in clear then hanging them to dry.  The excess that drips from the nose and forms a tit with strings.  Do you just cut them off and leave the bait as is or do you do something to make is rounder and better looking?

Thanks,

Scott

If you gently wipe the nose on your cup to get most the excess off and then hold nose up for a few seconds it will round out on its own and there won't be anything to trim.  If I'm in a hurry I just hang them and cut them.  Other ways I've seen done use a heat source to round it off (heat gun, etc.).

Yes you can dip them in water, but be very careful with water around hot plastic they dont mix well.
