I have a color from M-F called brown/grape and underneath the label it says "changeable". I shot some sticks to check it out and the first batch came out basically brown, like a real dark chocolate milk color. The second batch I used half the colorant and they still look brown, but the thin parts on the ends are purple. If you hold to light you can see the brown and the purple by turning the stick. Awesome stuff!
I also have a "motor oil" color by another manufacturer that does the same thing, only even more pronounced, and even with a ton of colorant you can still see both colors.
My question is, how is this done and is this something I can create myself by blending different colors with some sort of powder, or??
( the edit was I originally put "nightcrawler" as the other color and it's actual motor oil...)
